Up until the early 2000s, education was considered a group of students in a classroom and one teacher who instructed them. Then the Internet appeared and everything changed for both students and teachers. E-learning is a tool that can be used from anywhere and technology has advanced so much that people who use it feel like they are actually in the classroom.
E-learning allows the possibility of sharing material in many kinds of formats such as videos, slideshows, word documents and PDFs. Some schools also offer online courses and allow communication with teachers via chat and message forums. E-learning is a solution which provides students with the ability to fit learning around their lifestyles so that even very busy people can improve their qualifications at their own speed.
Message boards, social media and other means of online communication allow students to keep in touch and discuss matters related to the subject they are learning and gives them a sense of community. Course content should be updated quickly to give students the very latest information.
